SPECIALIZED ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE FETUS IN WEEK 20 OF PREGNANCY INCLUDING DETAILED ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION OF THE FETAL HEART (FETAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY)
It is an important ultrasound examination in pregnancy. This specialized examination is performed at the Centre for Medical Genetics Ltd. in the second trimester of pregnancy (between weeks 19 and 21 of pregnancy). It aims to demonstrate serious congenital defects in the fetus and the whole fetal egg – physique, size, abnormalities of most of the internal organs, cleft defects of the fetus are closely monitored during the examination. We give a systematic and detailed focus to the whole fetus and, in particular, to serious heart defects of the fetus (prenatal echocardiography).
